YWCA Cass Clay announces Women of the Year recipients
FARGO—YWCA Cass Clay held its 45th annual Women of the Year event Monday, April 30, at the Delta by Marriott.
Attended by over 700 guests, the event honored the 38 nominees and culminated in the announcement of the following 2018 YWCA Cass Clay Women of the Year recipients:
Lifetime Achievement: Jan Adair, consultant with TNT Kid's Fitness
Business: Tamara Anderson, vice president and co-owner of Dale Carnegie Training of ND
Health & Wellness: Dr. Stacey Benson, president of Benson Psychological Services
Community & Volunteer: Sandra Buchholz, founder of Power of 100 Red River Valley
Education: Mary Ann Donnay, physical education teacher at Discovery Middle School
Arts & Culture: Chelsey Ewen, communications coordinator of The Arts Partnership
Advocating for Equality: Whitney Fear, registered nurse and case manager at Family HealthCare
Science & Technology: Bethlehem Gronneberg, founder and CEO of uCodeGirl
Young Woman of Today & Tomorrow: Nidhi Mahale, senior at Davies High School
Faith Community: Major Elaine Medlock, Corps officer and pastor with The Salvation Army.
Youth Advocacy: Lorrie Thoemke, vice president of learning centers for the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties
Leader in Women's Empowerment: United Way 35 Under 35 Women's Leadership Program
