ND man killed when thrown from all-terrain vehicle
CAVALIER, N.D.—A 55-year-old man died from injuries sustained when he was thrown from the all-terrain vehicle he was driving on a rural road near here on Friday, April 13, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The accident happened when the driver was northbound on 134th Avenue Northeast, 7½ miles northwest of Cavalier in Pembina County, Sgt. Ryan Panasuk of the highway patrol said in a report released Saturday, April 14. The driver's four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle left the roadway and encountered rough ground in the east ditch, ejecting the driver, who died at the scene.
The driver, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was not wearing a helmet, Panasuk said. The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
