2 people injured when car sideswipes SUV on I-94

FERGUS FALLS. Minn. - Two people were injured when an SUV with a flat tire was sideswiped by a car on Interstate 94 near the intersection with Highway 59 on Monday, Jan. 8, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

According to the report:

Amanda Britton Hagen, 21, Fargo, was on the westbound shoulder of I-94 with a flat tire on her 2003 Chevy Trailblazer when the accident occurred about 1:48 p.m.

That’s when a westbound 1998 Buick Park Avenue driven by Peter John Riske, 28, Reynolds, N.D., drifted towards the shoulder and sideswiped the Chevy.

Both Hagen and Riske were taken to Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls for treatment of injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Road conditions were described as wet.
