Concordia baseball splits doubleheader with Gustavus

MOORHEAD—Concordia split a doubleheader with Gustavus on Saturday, winning 3-1 and losing 5-2.

In Game 1, Cobbers pitcher Austin Van Steeg picked up the win, allowing just one run in six innings of work. Nate Hoeft and Turner Storm each picked up RBIs for the Cobbers.

Nolan Lepel and Brice Panning led the offensive charge, each driving in two runs for the Gusties in the second game. Chad Johnson paced the Cobbers, going 2-for-4 at the dish while scoring a run.
