MOORHEAD -- A car has crashed into the entrance of a Moorhead apartment building at the 1100 block of 20th street.
FARGO -- OSHA is citing Custom Truck and Auto Shine Inc. in Fargo for $12,675 after an employee died in a work-related accident in February of 2017.
Twin Valley, Minn.—A two-year-old has died after being accidentally run over by the mother in Twin Valley, Minnesota. Authorities say the 24-year-old mother was in a minivan headed to the store about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. She didn't see the child playing in the driveway. The family rushed the child to the hospital in Mahnomen, Minn. The child was airlifted to Sanford in Fargo where they died from injuries.
UPDATE -- Charges have been filed against Bergland for a shooting that took place Monday afternoon at Valley Dairy in Grand Forks. Bergland will be charged with attempted murder and reckless endangerment. The victim has been treated and released from Altru hospital. Bergland will appear in court at 9 a.m. Wednesday. __
FARGO -- The city of Fargo is one step closer having its first Chick-fil-A restaurant. On Tuesday, Aug. 1, crews demolished the former TGI Friday’s building at West Acres. Chick-fil-A submitted plans with the city for a new restaurant at that location in April. Building permits valued at $200,000 for parking and $950,000 for the restaurant were issued July 25.
FARGO -- The Fargo Police Department announced that distracted driving laws have expanded to include any distraction that impairs the ability to safely operate the vehicle.
STIRUM, ND -- A West Fargo teen has died from injuries sustained in an accident between a dirtbike and UTV. The unnamed 19 year-old was traveling north on 123rd Avenue on a Honda dirt bike, with no headlight. 56 year-old Clayton Hoffman of Oakes was driving south on that same road on a Polaris Ranger UTV at around 40 mph. Hoffman reportedly didn't see the dirt bike in time to avoid the crash and they collided head-on. The dirt bike and it's 19 year-old rider were thrown into the east ditch and the UTV rolled onto its passenger side.
FARGO -- Starting on Monday, July 31st, multiple roads and intersections in Fargo will be closed off or have limited access. A contractor will be installing a new gas main on 4th Avenue North from Broadway to 3rd Street north. 4th Avenue north through the 3rd Street north intersection will be closed. 3rd Street north will be open north of 4th Avenue north to the railroad tracks. Any access to 3rd Street south will have to be by 4th Street northt through the alley.
RICHLAND COUNTY -- At around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Richland County Deputies responded to a 1 vehicle rollover. A juvenile driver was reported to be traveling west on 91st Street when they lost control of their motor vehicle on a gravel road. The motor vehicle went into the west ditch and rolled at least once. Nobody else was in the vehicle and the driver was taken to the hospital. The crash is still under investigation.
MOORHEAD, MINN. -- Lanes will be closed on I-94 in Moorhead starting Monday, July 31st. The area between Highway 75 and the 8th Street and 20th Street interchanges will be affected. Crews will be keeping at least two lanes of traffic open at all times. The construction work will take about two weeks.
